Kaeden Cornell Charges to First Career 4 State Dirt Late Model Series Victory
Takes $1,200 in Season Opener at Springfield Raceway
WILLARD, Mo. (April 7, 2026) — Kaeden Cornell couldn’t have asked for a better start to his 2026 campaign.
The Willard, Missouri, native parked the Hoover Motorsports No. 50 Rocket Chassis Late Model in victory lane Saturday at Springfield Raceway, capturing his first career 4 State Dirt Late Model Series victory in the tour's season opener.
“Man, that was awesome,” Cornell said. “We had some carburetor issues before the start of the feature, but thanks to my awesome crew, they got it fixed immediately and got me back out on the track. Hats off to them for all their hard work, and to my great sponsors for their support. I was already fired up going into this season, and this just makes me even more excited.”
Cornell debuted a newly wrapped Hoover Motorsports entry at his home track and showed speed from the outset. He set fast time in his qualifying group and charged from fourth to first in his heat race.
Mechanical issues during staging forced Cornell to start at the tail of the 25-lap feature, but he mounted an impressive charge through the field. Working his way to the front, Cornell made the winning pass on lap 16 and drove on to secure his first victory of the season.

Cornell is slated to take this weekend off before returning to action at Lake Ozark Speedway, which hosts the 4 State Dirt Late Model Series for The Lake Wake-Up.
