Cornell fourth with 4 State at Springfield Raceway; joins Summer Nationals Hell Tour for one night
As the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour invaded his home track, Kaeden Cornell joined a huge field of 45 Super Late Models on Tuesday afternoon for the $5,000-to-win show at Springfield (Mo.) Raceway.
After finishing ninth in his heat race, Cornell fell back in the evening's C-Main and did not make the 30-lap main event later that night.
Parked at the same track on Saturday evening for the 4 State Dirt Late Model Series event, Kaeden qualified seventh-quickest and picked up a heat race win which put him on the front-row for the $1,250-to-win main event. Cornell led the first 10 circuits before Trent Wynn got by him and raced to the win while Kaeden settled for a fourth-place outing.
